		<description>I imagine (not tested, I don&#039;t have a Mac) that if you would run an AIR app as root, you would be able to browse the whole file system. Not that you should do that, but that is the way *nix systems work.</description>

		<description>Although I sympathize with your disappointment with AIR&#039;s lack of OS accesssibility. Keep in mind that the AIR&#039;s design is heavily centered around security and within that constraint I believe  AIR brings quite a lot to the desktop. I have been looking at using AIR for a client application where the data source is a system that provides an API interface (for C, .Net and Java) and so AIR wont be suitable (without hacks).</description>
